About Outlook Insight

Who we are

Outlook Insight is a government technology company in Tumwater, Washington. Since 1999 we have built software and delivered IT services for state agencies, with a focus on vocational rehabilitation and Randolph-Sheppard Business Enterprise Programs.

Our products run on the SixDot platform: Knowledge Interpreter, Business Enterprise and Ticket Manager. Every one of them is built blind-first, because the people we serve use screen readers every day.

Our story

Knowledge Interpreter started with a problem we saw in every agency we worked with: staff spending hours combing through federal and state policy manuals to answer a question a counselor needed in minutes. We built a tool that answers from the agency’s own policies and cites the section. Washington State DVR adopted it and announced it as the first vocational rehabilitation agency to use AI this way.

Since then we have worked with state agencies across the country, from statewide CIOs to agency directors, managers and supervisors. Each engagement starts with readiness: we take the time to explain what AI can and cannot do, and we help agencies set guardrails before anything goes live.

What we believe

  • Accessibility first. We design for screen readers and keyboards before anything else. Usability is not a feature we add later.
  • Innovation with guardrails. We use AI to help public staff work faster and decide better, and we help agencies set the rules for safe use.
  • Client focus. We take the time to understand each agency’s policies and workflows, then tailor the solution to them.
  • Integrity and transparency. Clear communication, ethical decisions and open processes in every partnership.
  • Collaboration. We build long-term relationships with the agencies we serve and the partners we work with.

How we work

  • Direct employees only. Our sales, engineering, support and training staff all work for Outlook Insight. No resellers, no subcontracted help desks.
  • A dedicated account manager for every customer, so you always talk to someone who knows your history.
  • Training included. Standard training ships with every implementation, delivered by our own trainers, with refresher sessions at no added cost.
  • Hosted on Microsoft Azure Government. US-only data residency and FedRAMP High infrastructure for every SixDot app.

Credentials and recognition

Our team holds Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Educator and PMI PMP certifications. We use them to integrate SixDot deeply with the Microsoft environment most agencies already run.
